This dashboard ranks markets by the activity signal that fits each venue. Kalshi uses cumulative volume change from its mapped volume_fp field, while Polymarket uses liquidity change. The venues are scored separately so one venue does not bury the other.
How the ranking is calculated
Venue-specific activity from the latest two observations.
For Kalshi, active markets are ranked by the latest increase in cumulative volume, because the market volume_fp field maps into the stored volume column and cleanly captures actual trading between snapshots. If a Kalshi market has no previous snapshot yet, the dashboard uses current cumulative volume as a fallback activity proxy. For Polymarket, the board ranks by liquidity change and shows volume as context. This is meant to surface markets moving now, not simply the largest markets overall.
